Contraindications
- If you have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
- If you have olanzapine hypersensitivity or are allergic to other components of Oleanz Rt 5 mg Tab

- You suffer from low blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye) or have had a stroke or are at high risk of having a stroke.
- You conceive during the course of Oleanz Rt 5 mg Tab or are planning a pregnancy.
Directions for Use
- It is recommended that Oleanz Rt 5 mg Tab be taken at fixed times every day.
- Oleanz Rt can be taken with or without food.
- Swallow Oleanz Rt Tab as a whole. Do not split, crush, or chew it.
- Do not exceed or alter the recommended dose of Oleanz Rt Tab, as it may lead to undesirable side effects.
- It is important to take Oleanz Rt Tab for the entire duration prescribed to you by your doctor. This holds true even if you begin to feel better.
- Abruptly discontinuing this medication can lead to side effects such as hallucinations.

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Co-administration of Oleanz Rt 5 mg Tablet with benzodiazepines is not recommended as clozapine can potentiate its actions.
- Taking Oleanz Rt 5 mg Tablet with Ciprofloxacin is not advisable, as it reduces the metabolism of olanzapine which can lead to toxic levels of the medicine in the body.
- Using Oleanz Rt 5 mg Tab with carbamazepine is not advisable. The metabolism of olanzapine can be increased when combined with carbamazepine which may reduce its efficacy.
Interactions with food items
- Oleanz does not have any specific interactions with food. It is recommended to avoid foods containing caffeine as these may increase the side effects of the tablet.
