Medical Description
Nuzid S Injection is an antibiotic combination used to treat serious bacterial infections, including meningitis, pneumonia, and infections of the bones, joints, urinary tract, skin and abdomen. It contains ceftazidime and sulbactam. Ceftazidime stops bacteria building a protective outer structure, while sulbactam blocks enzymes that can weaken ceftazidime's action. The injection is prepared and given by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic, with the route and treatment plan chosen for the infection.
