Alcohol addiction is a medical condition characterised by current or past history of excessive drinking, a strong craving for alcohol, and an inability to control alcohol consumption despite having problems with drinking. The active ingredient in Nalcon 50 mg tablets is Naltrexone. The mode of action of Nalcon 50 mg tablets is by blocking the effect of opioid receptors that decrease cravings and urges for opioids or alcohol. Do not use Nalcon 50 mg tablets or use caution:
If you are allergic to Naltrexone, the main component in Nalcon 50 mg tablet
If you have sudden suicidal thoughts or ideation
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
If you are below 18 years of age
If you have severe renal disease
If you have severe hepatic impairment
If you have acute hepatitis
