Myonit 5 MG Description

Myonit injection contains Nitroglycerin used to treat angina pectoris. It is used when oral pain relievers don't work after a heart attack (restricted blood supply to the heart). During and after car

diac surgery, Myonit injection is also used to manage blood pressure and improve blood flow to the heart. This medication helps more blood and oxygen reach your heart by relaxing your blood arteries. The injection dose depends on the severity of your condition and your body's response to it. Before starting the treatment, inform the doctor about your other medical conditions and your current medications. Some side effects may include rash and irritation at the injection site; however, these will subside. Inform your doctor if you observe severe side effects of this injection.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

^

Q: Is it true that the effects of Myonit injection wear off with time?

A: Yes, prolonged usage of Myonit injection can lead to tolerance, which implies that its effectiveness may be reduced. As a result, cardiologists typically prescribe the lowest dose to relieve acute angina attacks effectively. It's also commonly administered in morning and afternoon dosages to provide a nitrate-free period. To avoid tolerance and maintain the effectiveness of Myonit injection, strictly adhere to the dosing intervals suggested by your doctor.

Q: Can I stop taking Myonit injections once I feel better?

A: Stop using Myonit injection without first consulting your doctor. You may have confusion, fever, mental state changes, or severe muscle stiffness if you suddenly stop taking Myonit injections. Depending on the severity of your ailment, your doctor will most likely progressively reduce your dose.

Q: What is the impact of Myonit injection on blood pressure?

A: Although Myonit injection lowers blood pressure slightly by relaxing blood vessels, it is not for the treatment of high blood pressure. Lightheadedness can be caused by low blood pressure, significantly when changing positions abruptly. To minimise this adverse effect, avoid abrupt changes in the position.
