Mycobutol is a common medicine prescribed by doctors to treat tuberculosis. It comes under a vast group of medicines called antitubercular medicines. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease affecting mainly the lungs. It is an infectious disease that gets transferred from one person to another through air droplets.
Mycobutol is composed of ethambutol, which stops the growth of bacteria by creating a bacteriostatic environment in the body and, hence, treating the patient from tuberculosis.
