Moxbro DT Tablet is a combination of two molecules, amoxicillin and bromhexine, an antibiotic and mucolytic respectively. It is used to treat various respiratory tract bacterial infections. It should
not be used to treat viral infections.

How Does It Work?
Amoxicillin works by inhibiting peptidoglcan synthesis in the bacterial cell wall, this leads to cell lysis and death of bacteria.
Bromhexine reduces airway secretions, enhancing breathing by thinning the mucus....
Directions for Use of Moxbro Dt 250mg Tablet
- Moxbro DT Tablet is administered orally, the dose and duration is based on the patient's healthcare profile
- Do not crush, break or chew the tablet
- Swallow the entire tablet with a glass of water
Interactions of Moxbro Dt 250mg Tablet
Interactions with other medicines
- The kidney excretion of amoxicillin is decreased by probenecid
- Bacteriostatic molecules like tetracycline may effect the bactericidal effects of amoxicillin
- Allopurinol increases the incidence of allergic skin reactions with amoxicillin
- Not much is known about the interactions of bromhexine
- Moxbro DT may reduce excetion of methotrexate
- If you consume other medications, do mention it to your physician before administering Moxbro DT Tablet.
