Movicol liquid is a laxative medication. It contains a combination of polyethene glycol, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, and potassium chloride as active substances. Movicol liquid is used to treat constipation in adolescents, adults and the elderly. It works by increasing the water content of the stools and causing more bowel motions which help the stools to pass quickly. Take this medicine strictly as recommended by your doctor. Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history. Movicol liquid is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age.
