Metbetic GL 2 Tablet
Description
Metbetic GL2 Tablet PR is an oral anti-diabetic medicine used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains glimepiride and metformin, two active ingredients that work together to lower elevated blood sugar levels. Controlling blood glucose helps prevent the long-term complications of diabetes, such as heart disease, kidney damage, nerve problems, and vision issues.
Glimepiride in Metbetic GL2 Tablet PR helps the pancreas release more insulin, while metformin improves the body’s response to insulin and reduces the amount of sugar produced by the liver. Together, these actions help maintain steady blood sugar levels throughout the day. Regular use can help reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications and improve overall health.
You should take Metbetic GL2 Tablet PR exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The tablet should be taken with meals, preferably with the first meal of the day, to reduce the risk of stomach upset and low blood sugar. Taking it at the same time every day helps maintain consistent blood glucose control and ensures the medicine works effectively.
Before starting Metbetic GL2 Tablet PR, inform your doctor about your complete medical history, including pregnancy, breastfeeding, or any other health conditions. Also, share details of any other medicines or supplements you are taking, as certain drugs may interact with this medication. This information helps your doctor tailor your treatment safely and effectively.
Common side effects may include mild nausea, headache, or dizziness, which usually improve over time. If you experience persistent or severe side effects, contact your doctor immediately. Along with taking this medicine, following a balanced diet, staying hydrated, exercising regularly, and monitoring your blood sugar levels are essential for optimal diabetes management.
