Medical Description
Maxgalin 75 capsule is used to treat neuropathic pain (pain associated with nerve damage). It is also used to treat muscular pain (fibromyalgia) characterized by muscle stiffness and fatigue. It contains pregabalin as its main ingredient. You should take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as suggested by the doctor. Do not stop or alter the dose on your own. Before starting the treatment with Maxgalin 75 capsule, inform your doctor about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from. Also discuss if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding.
Uses
- Maxgalin 75 capsule is used for the treatment of peripheral neuropathic pain, a condition of an abnormal painful sensation in different body parts due to damage in a part of the brain responsible for sensing the external stimuli.
- It is also used for the management of chronic conditions characterised by pain and stiffness in muscle, joints and tendons known as fibromyalgia syndrome.

- You have any kind of underlying medical conditions like heart failure problem, diabetes, kidney function problem, liver disorders, etc.
- If you develop allergies like bumps and itching, swelling on the face and other body parts, shortness of breath, etc after taking this medicine. Immediately seek medical help.
- You are giving Maxgalin 75 capsules to an elderly patient. Caution is advised.
- You are experiencing symptoms like vision problems or dizziness, sleepiness, stomach discomfort, constipation, etc.
- If you experience a behavioural change like mood swings or suicidal thoughts after taking this medicine, talk to your doctor immediately.
- You should never stop Maxgalin 75 capsule abruptly, especially if you have a history of fits. The doctor shall gradually decrease the dose.
Directions for Use
- Maxgalin 75 capsule should be taken as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it whole with a glass of water, with or without food.
- It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
- Do not consume more than the dose prescribed by your doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Maxgalin 75 capsule works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- You may experience drowsiness if you are taking medicines like Morphine, the doctor might start the treatment with a low dose.
- The effect of medicines called opioids such as fentanyl, hydrocodone and methadone may potentiate if taken along with Maxgalin 75 capsule and can lead to breathing difficulties, coma and sometimes can be fatal.
- Medicine like oxycodone used for serious painful conditions, if taken along can lead to loss of memory and ability to perform normal physical movements.
- You may experience dizziness and sleepiness if you are taking a medicine called lorazepam for anxiety disorders and sleep disorders.
