Lopez 1 MG Description
Lopez Md 1 mg Tablet is used as a psychiatric medication to manage anxiety disorders. Lopez Md 1mg Tablet comes under the therapeutic classification of Benzodiazepines. It comprises of 1.0 mg of Lora
zepam. Lopez Md 1mg Tablet is prescribed for shorter durations. Extension of treatment period with this medicine should be done only after reevaluating the need since it is associated with physical and psychological dependence. The risk of dependence increases with higher doses and longer-term use. It is further increased in patients with a history of alcoholism or drug abuse or patients with significant personality disorders. Abrupt cessation of this medicine may be accompanied by withdrawal symptoms. Inform your doctor if you have a history of depression because this medicine should not be used alone in depressed patients without adequate antidepressant therapy. Do not take any new medicines without consulting your doctor.

Uses of Lopez 1 MG
- Used for the management of anxiety disorders or for the short term relief of symptoms of anxiety or anxiety associated with depressive symptoms.
- Used as a premedication (for adults and children five years and above).
Contraindications of Lopez 1 MG
- If you are allergic or hypersensitive to Lorazepam or any other active ingredients present in the medicine.
- If you have acute Narrow-Angle Glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye)
- If you have Myasthenia Gravis (weakness and rapid fatigue of muscles)

Mode of Action of Lopez 1 MG
How Does It Work?
Lopez Md Tablet acts on a chemical called Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA). It is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Lopez 1 Md tab produces a calming effect and reduces anxiety.

Directions for Use of Lopez 1 MG
- Always take the Lopez Md 1 mg Tablet as directed by your doctor.
- You can take Lopez Md 1 mg Tablet with or without food.
- Swallow it with a glass of water
- Do not chew or crush the Tablet.
- Read the label instructions carefully.
- Dosage should be taken in recommended amounts at a particular time in a day to get maximum benefits and desired clinical effect.
Interactions of Lopez 1 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Interaction with HIV Protease Inhibitors like Zidovudine because of increased risk of prolonged sedation and increased zidovudine clearance.
- Interaction with other benzodiazepines and opioids like Codeine and Morphine increases the risk of sedation, respiratory depression, and coma because of the additive CNS depressant effect.
- Interaction with anti-epileptic drugs like Phenobarbital can increase the risk of depression and elevation of drug levels.
- Interactions with Clozapine have shown reports of marked sedation, excessive salivation, hypotension and respiratory arrest.
Interactions with food items
- Unless your physician suggests the same, there is no need to avoid any type of food or drink.
Storage and disposal of Lopez 1 MG
Store Lopez Md 1 mg Tablet at room temperature below 30*c. Keep the medication out of children’s reach. Store it in an airtight container. Keep the Lopez Md 1 mg Tablet away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Keep your tablets in the pack until it is time to take them. Do not throw away the medicines via household waste. Dispose of the expired medicine immediately. Do not use it after the expiry date stated on the label....
Dosage of Lopez 1 MG
Overdose
Do not take Lopez Md 1 mg Tablet in more than prescribed doses. Symptoms of overdose can be drowsiness, mental confusion, lethargy, ataxia (loss of control of the body movement) and decreased blood pressure. Seek emergency medical treatment and contact your doctor immediately....
Missed a Dose
Take the missed dose just and when you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, wait until then to take medicine and skip the missed dose. Don’t double the dosage to compensate for the missed dose....
