Medical Description
Linitrix-S powder for injection is an antibiotic combination used by healthcare professionals to treat serious bacterial infections such as pneumonia, meningitis, abdominal infections and urinary tract infections. It contains ceftriaxone and sulbactam, with ceftriaxone killing susceptible bacteria and sulbactam helping protect ceftriaxone from enzymes that can make some bacteria resistant. Together, they stop susceptible bacteria from building a protective cell wall and help control the infection. Linitrix-S injection is prepared and given into a vein or muscle by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic, and it is not for self-injection. It is used only when a clinician considers injectable antibiotic treatment appropriate.
