Lariago syrup is an antimalarial syrup that is used to treat and prevent malaria. Malaria is a disease caused by a parasite that is spread to humans through the bites of infected mosquitoes. Lariago
syrup contains chloroquine as the active ingredient which works by acting on the malarial parasite in the blood. This syrup can be used in both children and adults. Take this syrup in the exact dose and duration as recommended by your doctor. Do not take this medicine on your own.

- If you are taking a medicine called amiodarone for abnormal heart rhythm.

- You have an inherited condition of glucose-6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency such as favism.
- You experience vision disturbances after taking this medicine.
- You experience symptoms like tiredness, dizziness, excessive sweating, irritability, being pale after taking this medicine.
- You develop rashes, fever after using this medicine.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Lariago syrup works or Lariago syrup itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
- Lariago syrup is contraindicated for use with amiodarone.
- Particular care should be taken if you are using medicines to treat bacterial infections (moxifloxacin), mental disorders (droperidol), indigestion/heartburn (kaolin, cimetidine, omeprazole), protozoal infections (pyrimethamine), heart failure (digoxin), fits/seizures (phenytoin), immune system modulation (ciclosporin), helminthic infection (praziquantel), myasthenia gravis (neostigmine, pyridostigmine). ...
- The use of Lariago syrup with mefloquine (anti-malarial medicine) may increase the risk of fits/seizures.
- Use of Lariago syrup with rabies vaccine or oral typhoid vaccine may reduce the effectiveness of the vaccines.
