Medical Description

Ketosh B Cream contains a combination of two medicines - Ketoconazole and Beclomethasone dipropionate. It is used for the treatment of a wide variety of fungal skin infections. It is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor. You may experience some application site reactions as side effects, but they normally fade away with time. Please report to your doctor if you notice the side effects persists or worsen.

Uses

Ketosh B Cream is used to treat various types of fungal skin infections.

Contraindications

  • If you are allergic to Ketoconazole, Beclomethasone or any of the ingredients in Ketosh B Cream .
  • If you have chickenpox, shingles, warts or any other wounds or skin infections.
  • If you have acne, an infection on the face, mouth, nail, scalp, private parts, etc.
  • If you have any untreated skin infection or skin thinning problem

Side effects

Burning sensation, itching, irritation, rash, redness of skin at the area Ketosh B Cream is applied.

  • You should avoid getting any into your eyes, nose, mouth, open wounds, armpits, private parts. In case of such an exposure, you should wash the affected part thoroughly with water.
  • You are also applying other topical medicines.
  • You do not notice any improvement in your condition after applying this medicine for a week.
  • Do not use Ketosh B Cream for any condition other than prescribed by the doctor.
  • In case your eyes come in contact with this , rinse your eyes with clean water immediately.
  • Do not apply this medicine for a prolonged duration on a larger skin area or more than the prescribed duration.
  • Do not stop using this before you complete the treatment.

Overdose

As Ketosh B Cream is meant for external application, cases of overdose are unlikely. However, excessive use of this medicine for a longer period may lead to steroid toxicity. Upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have overapplied it, wipe out the excess of medicine with tissue or cotton.

Missed a Dose

  • Ketosh B Cream should be used with caution along with ritonavir (used in HIV infection) and itraconazole (used to treat fungal infections), as it may increase the risk of having side effects.
