Medical Description
Hivac B vaccine is used for active immunization against hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections caused by all known subtypes. It is suitable for use in neonates, infants, children, and adolescents up to 15 years of age who are not yet immune. Immunization with Hivac B vaccine is expected to help prevent hepatitis D, as hepatitis D (caused by the delta agent) cannot occur without the presence of a hepatitis B infection.
Hivac B vaccine must be administered by a healthcare professional. To ensure effectiveness, all doses are required. It may cause injection site reactions like redness, swelling, pain, or fever in some individuals. If these occur, inform your doctor for possible relief methods. Disclose any medical conditions and medications to your doctor before vaccination. Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers should seek medical advice before getting the vaccine.
Uses
