Medical Description
Feroday tablet is used to treat and prevent iron deficiency anaemia and is helpful during pregnancy, breastfeeding, after surgery, or in people with poor nutrient absorption. It can also boost appetite and reduce tiredness and weakness. It contains cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12), Folic acid (Vitamin B9), and sodium feredetate. All are important for producing red blood cells and maintaining the health of your nerves and brain.
Take the medication once daily, preferably on an empty stomach or after a light meal, with a full glass of water. Avoid taking it with tea, coffee, or dairy products within 1–2 hours to help your body absorb iron more effectively. Do not take more than the recommended dose, and always follow your doctor’s advice. Store it in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and out of children’s reach.
Before using this supplement, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have any medical problems, or are taking other medicines or supplements. Avoid using it if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Some people may experience mild side effects, such as nausea, constipation, or dark stools. Eating Vitamin C-rich foods, such as oranges, can improve iron absorption; however, it is best to avoid consuming calcium-rich foods or supplements around the same time. Remember, dietary supplements help fill nutritional gaps but should not replace a healthy, balanced diet and lifestyle.

Ingredients and Benefits
- Vitamin B12 regulates various bodily functions, including cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. It is essential for the proper functioning and development of blood cells, nerves, and the brain.
- Vitamin B9, also known as folic acid, is one of the essential vitamins that play a vital role in DNA synthesis and the production of amino acids. Folic acid helps in forming red blood cells and prevents and treats folate deficiency (low blood levels of folate).
- Sodium Feredetate acts as an iron source. It is a vital mineral that the body requires. It is crucial for haemoglobin (Hb) formation (present in red blood cells). Haemoglobin carries oxygen from the lungs to the entire body.
