Emeset Od 4 MG Description

Emeset-4 ODT tablet used to control nausea and vomiting. It is also used for the prevention of nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy and radiotherapy; and also helps in relieving symptoms of nausea

and vomiting before and after operations. Emeset 4 ODT tablet contains ondansetron, which is antiemetic medicine as an active ingredient. This medicine blocks the action of natural hormones in the body responsible for inducing nausea and vomiting. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It can be taken with or without food, but it is recommended to take it at a fixed time for optimal results.

If you are allergic to ondansetron or any of the other ingredients of Emeset 4 ODT tablet.
If you are taking a medicine, apomorphine used for the treatment of loss of muscle control and muscle stiffness in Parkinson's disease

Pregnancy

Can I take Emeset 4 ODT Tablet during pregnancy?

Emeset 4 ODT Tablet must not be used during pregnancy especially in the first trimester of pregnancy as it can induce the risk of a baby being born with cleft lip and/or cleft palate (splits in the upper lip). If you are pregnant or think you may be or are planning for a baby, you should consult your doctor before starting this medicine. Women of childbearing age are advised to use birth control measures while taking this medicine to avoid pregnancy.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Emeset 4 ODT Tablet while breastfeeding?

Emeset 4 ODT passes into human milk and could harm the breastfed baby. Hence, it would be best if you do not breastfeed while taking this medicine.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Emeset 4 ODT Tablet?

Emeset 4 ODT Tablet does not affect your driving ability. In case you experience visual disturbances and drowsiness after taking this medicine, avoid driving.

Can I consume alcohol with Emeset 4 ODT Tablet?
