• If you are allergic to dydrogesterone, estradiol or other ingredients of Dydrogest Conti tablet.
• If you have a known or suspected history of tumours like meningioma.
• If you have had a history of or have breast cancer.
• If you have undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding.
• If you have a history of or are suspected of having oestrogen-dependent tumours, such as endometrial cancer.
• If you have untreated thickening of the endometrial lining.
• If you have or had a severe liver or renal problem.
• If you have or have had any blood clotting disorder of veins, such as venous thromboembolism.
• If you have any heart-related conditions, such as chest pain due to blockage in arteries (myocardial infarction, angina).
• If you have blood-related disorders such as porphyria, protein C, and protein S deficiency.

Other General Warnings

• You have liver disease or a history of liver disease.
• Your lab tests show deranged liver function.
• You experience spotting or bleeding between menses.
• You have a disease called porphyria.
• You have vaginal bleeding of unknown origin.
• You have thickening of the endometrium.
• You have liver, kidney, thyroid or heart-related problems.
• You have a bleeding or clotting disorder.
• You have high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, fits, and thickening of ear tissue.
• You have a risk of cancer, such as the breast or the endometrium.
• You have systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
• You have a severe headache or migraine.
• You had or have decreased blood supply to the brain (stroke).
• You experience fluid retention in the body.
• You have a high lipid level in your body.

• Dydrogest Conti tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow the tablet with a glass of water, with or without food.
• The tablet should be taken at the same time each day. This will make sure that there is a constant amount of this medicine in the body.

• Store Dydrogest Conti tablet at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
• Protect from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach of children.

How Does It Work?

• Dydrogesterone is a synthetic progesterone. It works by mimicking the effects of the natural hormone progesterone, which helps to balance hormones and relieve associated symptoms.
• Estradiol is a semi-synthetic version of the hormone estrogen present in the body of females. Its action is identical to that of biological estrogen. It binds to estrogen receptors and exhibits a beneficial effect on bone density, while also inhibiting bone resorption associated with osteoporosis in menopausal women.
• They work together and help manage symptoms of estrogen deficiency, such as hot flushes and vaginal dryness, and also assist in preventing osteoporosis.

Interactions with other medicines

• Tell your doctor about the medicines, supplements, or herbal supplements you are taking to avoid possible interactions.
• Some medicines may affect the way Dydrogest Conti tablet works, or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
• You should not take this tablet along with epilepsy medicines like phenobarbital, phenytoin, and carbamazepine.
• Avoid using it with medicines like rifampicin and rifabutin (used in tuberculosis).
• When taking this medicine, you should not consume herbal preparations containing, e.g., St John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum), sage or ginkgo Biloba.
• Be cautious if you are taking medicines like ritonavir, nelfinavir, nevirapine, and efavirenz (used in HIV).
• Antifungal medicines like fluconazole and itraconazole may increase the effect of this medicine, thereby increasing the risk of side effects.
