• Duoflam Suspension is used for symptomatic relief of mild-to-moderate pain in headache, migraine, toothache, muscle and joint ache, and backache.
• It is also used to relieve pain such as traumatic pain, pain due to sprain and strain and pain after surgeries and operations.

• If you are allergic to mefenamic acid, paracetamol, or any of the ingredients of Duoflam Suspension.
• If you have asthma or experienced an asthmatic attack due to painkillers.
• If you are suffering from inflammation in the digestive tract.
• If you have or had stomach ulcers.
• If you are pregnant.

How Does It Work?

• Duoflam Suspension contains a combination of mefenamic acid and paracetamol as its active ingredients.
• Mefenamic acid and paracetamol are non steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSADIs). They work by preventing prostaglandin synthesis, a chemical responsible for pain, inflammation and swelling.

• Take Duoflam Suspension as instructed by your doctor.
• Shake well before use.
• Do not consume it directly from the bottle.
• Use a measuring cup, spoon or dropper for the exact quantity.

Interactions with other medicines

• Some medicines can affect the way Duoflam Suspension works, or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
• Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
• Particular care should be taken if you are taking medicines used to treat nausea or vomiting like metoclopramide or domperidone and medicines used to treat bacterial infections like chloramphenicol.
• Medicines used to thin blood such as warfarin should be used with caution, as there are chances of increased bleeding upon long-term use.
• Anti-platelet medicines such as aspirin or clopidogrel, steroids and painkillers, when taken along with this medicine, can induce stomach or intestinal bleeding.
• Antidiabetic medicines, if taken along with Duoflam Suspension, can lead to low blood sugar levels.
• Cholesterol-lowering medicines like cholestyramine should be taken with a minimum gap of 2 hours.
• Duoflam Suspension should not be taken for 8 to 12 days after taking a medicine called mifepristone.
• Digoxin used to treat heart failure should not be taken along with this medicine.
• Medicines used to lower blood pressure such as water pills, immunomodulator medicines such as tacrolimus and ciclosporin and certain antibiotics should be used cautiously.

• Store Duoflam Suspension at room temperature, away from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
