Medical Description
Diclowin Plus tablets are a combination medication used to relieve various types of pain, including headaches, backaches, joint pain, and toothache. They are also effective in reducing inflammation and stiffness associated with conditions like arthritis and spondylitis. Diclowin Plus contains diclofenac and paracetamol, which work together to reduce pain and inflammation.
It is crucial to take Diclowin Plus tablets as directed by your doctor, in the prescribed dosage and duration. Taking the tablets with food can help minimize stomach upset. Avoid exceeding the recommended dosage or using them for longer than prescribed.
Diclowin Plus tablets may cause side effects such as dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Most of these side effects are temporary. However, consult your doctor immediately if your condition worsens. Before taking Diclowin Plus, inform your doctor about any existing liver or kidney problems, blood clotting issues, asthma, autoimmune disorders, ulcers, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning a pregnancy.
Diclomol tablet, Dicloran A tablet, Buta Proxyvon capsule, Everan tablet and Reactin Plus tablet are some other medicines containing diclofenac and paracetamol.

- If you are allergic to Paracetamol, Diclofenac or other ingredients of Diclowin Plus tablet.
- If you experience asthma, skin rashes, swelling & allergies after taking aspirin or any other painkillers.
- If you have a history of frequent stomach ulcers and bleeding or have an active ulcer.
- If you have severe heart problems such as heart failure, high blood pressure or brain disorder.
- If you have liver and kidney disorder or dysfunction.
- If you are pregnant especially, in the third trimester of pregnancy.

- You have kidney or liver problems.
- If you are an elderly patient taking diuretics or have kidney disorders, this medicine can increase the risk of kidney failure. your doctor may ask you to do renal function tests for the same.
- You are suffering from gastrointestinal problems such as bleeding, ulcers in the intestine (perforation) or Crohn's disease.
- You have asthma as Diclowin Plus tablet can worsen the same.
- You have an autoimmune disease called systemic lupus erythematosus.
- You are an alcoholic, as concomitant use of this medicine can damage the liver.
- You have disorders related to blood clotting.
- You suffer from skin rashes & lesions after taking this medicine.

Storage and disposal
- Store Diclowin Plus tablets in a cool and dry place and away from direct sunlight.
- Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
- Discard any unused medicine properly. Do not flush in the toilet or throw it into the drain.
Quick Tips
- Diclowin Plus tablet relieves pain and swelling caused by conditions like arthritis, back pain, tooth pain, and inflammatory conditions of the ear, nose, and throat. However, it should only be used as per your doctor's instructions.
- This medicine is recommended for short-term use only. Do not take more than the daily dose of Diclowin Plus tablet, as it may affect the liver or cause allergic reactions.
- You should inform your doctor if you have experienced asthma, rhinitis, swelling of the face/lips/tongue or hives after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs in the past.
- Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on getting pregnant or breastfeeding. Also, inform your doctor about all your medications and medical history.
- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain can occur as side effects of this medicine in some individuals. If side effects bother you, please inform your doctor.
- Discontinue the use of this product and inform your doctor immediately if you notice skin rashes, lesions in lips/tongue/floor of the mouth or any other allergic reactions after taking Diclowin Plus tablet.
- Do not take any other paracetamol-containing products while taking Diclowin Plus tablet. Tell your doctor if you have a history or have an alcohol addiction.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Other medicines containing Paracetamol component because there is an increased risk of liver damage.
- Diclowin can interfere with other medicines used for treating high blood pressure.
- Water pills if taken along with Diclowin Plus can lead to kidney damage.
- Diclowin Plus can increase the levels of Digoxin(used to treat heart failure) and lithium(used to treat Brain disorders) if taken concomitantly.
- Medicines such as ciclosporin & tacrolimus used to modify immune response can result in kidney damage if taken with Diclowin Plus.
- Diclowin Plus increases your risk of getting stomach ulcers or bleeding if taken along with steroidal medicines.
- Diclowin Plus increases the risk of bleeding if taken with blood thinners such as Warfarin and Coumarin.
- Increased risk of getting fits if you are taking this medicine with antibiotics like Levofloxacin and Ciprofloxacin
- If you are taking medicines for treating diabetes, be cautious about symptoms of low glucose levels like sweating, anxiety, fast heartbeat and hunger pangs.
- Diclowin Plus should be taken one hour before, or 4-6 hours after consumption of Colestipol and Cholestyramine (medicines used to lower cholesterol levels).
- Diclowin Plus should not be consumed least for 8-10 days after taking a medicine containing Mifepristone.
- Be cautious if you are taking medicines such as Phenobarbital, Carbamazepine and Phenytoin (medicines to treat brain-related disorders).
- Probenecid (used to treat gout), Rifampicin (used to treat tuberculosis), Zidovudine ( used for HIV infections), herbal prepration such as St. John's Wort and Methotrexate should be used cautiously.
