• Depilox 50 mg is used to treat symptoms of depression accompanied by agitation or anxiety.

• Depilox 50 mg is contraindicated in the following cases:
• If you are recovering from a heart attack
• If you have any other type of cardiac illness
• If you have been diagnosed with kidney problems
• If you have glaucoma
• If you have schizophrenia or any other form of mental disorder
• If you have bipolar disorder
• If you have problems with passing urine
• If you have diabetes
• If you are receiving electroconvulsive therapy
• If your age is less than 18
• If you are allergic to amoxapine
• If you are taking an MAO inhibitor

Interactions with other medicines

• Depilox 50 mg may interact with medicines like
• Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors(SSRIs), such as Citalopram, Escitalopram, Fluoxetine. Taking Depilox 50 mg with medicines like citalopram, escitalopram and fluoxetine will put you at risk of serotonin syndrome. This rare but serious condition is characterised by fluctuation in blood pressure, hallucinations, shivering, tremors and diarrhoea.
• Anti-anxiety medicines like Alprazolam, Lorazepam. Consuming Depilox 50 mg with alprazolam and lorazepam can aggravate side effects like difficulty concentrating, drowsiness, dizziness and confusion.
• Antihistamines like Cetirizine, Diphenhydramine. Combining Depilox 50 mg with medicines like cetirizine and diphenhydramine can cause intense side effects like dry mouth, heat intolerance, constipation, confusion and irregular heartbeat.
• MAO inhibitors like Isocarboxazid, Linezolid, Methylene blue. Taking Depilox 50 mg with isocarboxazid, linezolid, and methylene blue can cause serotonin syndrome. This causes increased heart rate, excess sweating, fever, shivering, stomach cramps and blurred vision.
