Medical Description

Cloderm N Cream consists of an antibiotic and steroid medication. Treating various skin, eye, and ear infections caused due to bacteria is the main use of Cloderm N Cream. Mode of Action

How Does It Work?

Cloderm N Cream 15 gm is a combination of three medications: clobetasol, neomycin, and benzyl alcohol, to treat skin infections. Clobetasol is a steroidal medication. It works by blocking the production of prostaglandins, a type of chemical messengers. Prostaglandin is responsible for triggering various symptoms of skin infection such as redness of the skin, itching, swelling, scaling, etc. By blocking it, Cloderm N Cream help relieves all these symptoms and inflammation due to an infection. Neomycin is an antibiotic. It prevents the synthesis of various proteins essential for the bacteria to work properly. It results in killing the bacteria and reducing the infection. Zinc sulphate is added as an antiseptic medicine. It also acts as a preservative in skincare and dermatological products due to its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.
