Medical Description
Cetace injection is used during assisted fertility treatment to help prevent premature ovulation before eggs are collected. It contains cetrorelix acetate, a medicine that blocks a natural hormone signal involved in releasing an egg. By holding back this signal, Cetace injection helps the fertility team plan egg retrieval at the intended stage of treatment. A doctor or nurse gives the injection under the skin in a clinic or hospital as part of a medically monitored cycle.
