nst various kind of bacterial infection in the ear, respiratory tract (nose, throat), skin, urinary tract etc. The commonly observed side-effect of the tablet is nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and indigestion. This medicine should not be taken by pregnant and breastfeeding women as it may have unwanted effects.

- If you are allergic to the active ingredients Cefixime, Dicloaxcillin, and/ or Lactobacillus acidophilus.
- If you are allergic to cephalosporins (a type of antibiotic), penicillins, imipenem.

- You are suffering from kidney, liver disorder, any illness related to the stomach that may cause nausea, vomiting and digestive problems.
- You have a weak immune system or are taking medicines that affect the immune system.
- You experience frequent fits, mental confusion, difficulty in movement and unconsciousness as these symptoms may be indicative of a diseased brain condition- encephalopathy).
- You are suffering from anaemia.
- You are suffering from colitis (a condition of inflammation of the colon).
- You are suffering from diarrhoea.
Mode of Action of Ceftas Cl 200mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
How Does It Work?
This medicine is a combination of Cefixime, Dicloaxicillin, and Lactobacillus acidophilus.
Cefixime is an antibiotic that acts on specific binding proteins in the bacterial cell wall and prevents cell wall formation. Dicloxacillin, the other active ingredient is a penicillin-like antibiotic that also prevents bacterial cell wall synthesis. Lactobacillus acidophilus is often used as a probiotic containing gut-friendly bacteria that help to improve digestion and prevent diarrhoea caused due to use of antibiotics....
Directions for Use of Ceftas Cl 200mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
- Swallow the tablet as a whole in dose and duration as recommended by your doctor.
- Take the tablet with a glass full of water.
- Preferably take the medicine at a fixed time each day to get better results.
Interactions of Ceftas Cl 200mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of Ceftas Cl Tablet along with medicines that alter or weaken your immune system like prednisone, dexamethasone, methylprednisolone, methotrexate should be avoided.
- Concomitant use of this medicine along with oral contraceptive pills should be avoided as the active ingredients in this medicine reduce the effect of oral contraceptive pills.
- When used together with a medicine used to treat kidney stones and gout (allopurinol), the risk of allergic skin reaction increases.
- Medicine like Probenecid that is used to treat gout and increased uric acid levels, may lead to delayed secretion of dicloxacillin from the body leading to unwanted effects.
- Caution should be exercised while using medicines like warfarin along with Ceftas Cl Tablet as cefixime tends to increase the prothrombin time (delays blood clotting).
- Discuss with your doctor any other medicine, herbal preparation, and supplements you are taking currently to avoid any possible drug interactions.
Other general Interactions
- Inform your doctor/pathologist about you taking Ceftas Cl Tablet as this medicine may interfere and give false-positive results in blood glucose tests (those done by Benedict's or Fehling's solutions or with copper sulphate test)....
- A false-positive result may be observed for Coomb's test (antiglobulin test).
Storage and disposal of Ceftas Cl 200mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
- Store the tablet at room temperature at 25°C away from light and heat.
- Do not take the medicine that has passed the expiry date.
- Dispose of any unused expired medicine.
- Keep away from the reach of children and pets.
Dosage of Ceftas Cl 200mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Overdose
- Taking more than the recommended dosage of this medicine may cause severe nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea usually severe. Overdose may be harmful to those who are suffering from kidney disease.
- If you experience fits, mental confusion, difficulty in making movements, loss of alertness you should visit your doctor or nearest hospital as it may be early warning signs of encephalopathy a disease of the brain....
- If you have taken too much of this medicine then contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.
Missed a Dose
If you have missed taking any dose of this medicine then take it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule. Make sure you keep a sufficient gap between the two doses....
