How Does It Work?
Montelukast works by inhibiting the leukotriene mediated actions in the lungs resulting in the relaxation of smooth muscles and decreased inflammation. Bilastine is an H1 receptor antagonist, an antiallergic agent that inhibits the immune system reactions by blocking the chemical messengers....
Directions for Use of Bilacad M Strip Of 10 Tablets
- Take the medication for the duration and dose as prescribed by the doctor
- Do not chew, crush or break the tablet in half
- Take it with or without food as advised by the doctor
- Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water
Interactions of Bilacad M Strip Of 10 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of ketoconazole or erythromycin with bilastine increases bilastine's area under curve and Cmax by 2-3 folds
- Concomitant intake of bilastine and diltiazem increase Cmax of bilastine by 50%
Interactions with food items
- The oral absorption of bilastine is reduced by 30% in the presence of food
- When bilastine is co-administered with grapefruit juice, it decreases bilastine's absorption by 30%
