Biduret Tablet l 2-5-25-mg tablet contains two medicines, namely, amiloride and hydrochlorothiazide. This tablet is used to treat high blood pressure. Biduret Tablet lowers blood pressure by excretin
g excess water and certain electrolytes from the body via urine. This medicine is only available on a doctor's prescription and should be taken at a dose and for a duration prescribed by the doctor. This medicine is not recommended in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any ingredients. You can experience dizziness, headache, fainting, cough, diarrhoea, or vomiting. If these effects persist or worsen or if you experience other problems, seek medical advice immediately.

How Does It Work?
Biduret Tablet contains two medicines, namely, amiloride and hydrochlorothiazide. They lower blood pressure by excreting excess water and certain electrolytes from the body via urine.
Directions for Use of Biduret L 2.5/25 Mg Tablet 50
- The dose and duration of the medicine must be followed strictly as directed by the doctor
- Consume the tablets with water
- Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets
Interactions of Biduret L 2.5/25 Mg Tablet 50
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of lithium increases lithium toxicity
- Concomitant use of thiazide diuretics, drospirenone and carbamazepine increases the risk of hyponatraemia
- Concomitant use of tacrolimus, trilostane, potassium salts, or corticosteroids increases potassium levels in blood
- Concomitant use of losartan, verapamil, diltiazem, adrenergic blockers, methyl dopa, moxonidine, hydralazine, minoxidil, sodium nitroprusside, prazosin, clonidine, valsartan, general anaesthetics, levodopa, hypnotics, anxiolytics, moxisylate, muscle relaxants, nitrates, alprostadil, or alcohol increases blood pressure-lowering effect...
- Concomitant use of diazoxide increases blood pressure and blood sugar-lowering effect
- Concomitant use of antidepressant increases risk of low blood pressure while standing
- Concomitant use of antipsychotics or atomoxetine increases risk of arrhythmia
- Concomitant use of oestrogen decreases the effectiveness of Biduret Tablet
