Medical Description
Anloxa R suspension is a combination medicine used for certain infectious causes of diarrhoea and dysentery. It contains ofloxacin and ornidazole, which act against some bacteria and other intestinal microorganisms, plus racecadotril, which reduces excess release of water and body salts into the bowel. The suspension is given by mouth and should be used with oral rehydration solution to replace fluids and salts lost in loose stools. Use Anloxa R only when prescribed, especially for a child, and do not give it if persistent vomiting prevents it from staying down.
