Medical Description

Aldep Tablet is used to treat depression (symptoms of hopelessness, mood swings and sleep disturbances) in adults. It is also prescribed to treat neuropathic pain (pain due to nerve injury) and migraine in adults. Aldep Tablet belongs to a class of medicine that is generally used to treat symptoms of depression. It contains Amitriptyline as an active ingredient that increases the level of mood stabilising chemicals in the body and thus effectively helps in maintaining a mental balance and treating depression. Amitriptyline, an active ingredient in Aldep Tablet, also has pain-reducing properties and treats migraine headaches and severe pain arising from any nerve damage. Aldep Tablet should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. The duration and dose of taking Aldep Tablet vary depending on the patient’s condition and age.

If you happen to take too much of the Aldep Tablet, reach out to your doctor or the nearest hospital immediately, even if you don’t develop symptoms of an overdose.

Missed a Dose

Aldep Tablet must be taken as prescribed by your doctor. If you have missed a dose of Aldep Tablet, take it immediately when you remember it. However, you should skip a missed dose when enough time has passed, and it is time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose of Aldep Tablet to make up for the missed dose. This may lead to overdosing.
