Absenz 250mg solution 100ml contains the active molecule called ethosuximide. This medicine belongs to a class of medications used to treat epilepsy in both children and adults. Ethosuximide helps to
treat uncontrollable jerking movements and brief, unexpected loss of consciousness (absence seizures, commonly known as petit mal) (myoclonic seizures).

How Does It Work?
Ethosuximide present in Absenz solution works by reducing the hyperactivity of the brain and nerves that leads to seizures (fits). It also aids inhibiting a biochemical that cause induction of absence seizures....
Directions for Use of Absenz 250 MG
- Always follow your doctor's instructions when taking this medication
- Take Absenz solution regularly as recommended by doctor
- Rinse your mouth or brush your teeth after taking Absenz solution
- You can take the solution with or without food.
Interactions of Absenz 250 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant administration of phenytoin may cause an increase in blood levels of phenytoin
- Concomitant use of valproic acid increases the blood levels of ethosuximide
- Concomitant use of ritonavir, isoniazid, or erythromycin increases serum levels of ethosuximide
- Concomitant administration of carbamazepine, rifampin, phenobarbital, or primidone reduces the levels of ethosuximide
Storage and disposal of Absenz 250 MG
- Keep Absenz solution out of reach of children and pets
- Do not use after expiry date
- Store at a temperature below 30 degree Celsius
- Do not throw away Absenz solution in household waste
Dosage of Absenz 250 MG
Overdose
Overdose of Absenz solution may cause too much drowsiness or confusion. Visit your doctor or the nearest hospital immediately, in case of an overdose.
Missed a Dose
