Isosorbide Dinitrate is an ‘organic nitrate’ medicine used to treat heart disease.
Uses
Prevention and treatment of angina (chest pain), which is caused by heart disease. It is used alone or with other medicines.
Contraindications
When should one not use Isosorbide Dinitrate
- Do not take this medicine if:
- You are allergic to the medicine
- Your haemoglobin count is low
- You had a heart attack
- You had a bleeding in the brain
- You had a head injury
- You had a low blood pressure
- You have low blood volume
- You are taking medicine such as Sildenafil or Riociguat
