Flavoxate is an anti-spasmodic medicine used to reduce muscle spasms of the bladder and urinary tract.
Uses
- It is used in the treatment of:
- Painful and frequent urination
- Uncontrolled urination at night
- Bladder pain
Contraindications
When should one not use Flavoxate
- Allergy to this medicine
- Bladder infections
- Gastrointestinal disease or bleeding
- Muscular inability to swallow
- Glaucoma
- If you have an illness which causes general weakness of the muscles

Dosage
Overdose
If you happen to take an overdose of the medicine, seek emergency medical care immediately. The effects of an overdose may be lethal. Symptoms of overdose include unsteadiness, severe dizziness, drowsiness, fever, flushed face, shortness of breath, nervousness, and irritability.
Missed a Dose
If you miss any dose, take it as early as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for a missed one.
