When should one not use Clindamycin Phosphate+Niacinamide / Nicotinamide

• If you are allergic to clindamycin, nicotinamide or similar medicines.
• If you have ever had diarrhoea after using any antibiotics.
• If you have a history of inflammatory bowel disease.

• You have a history of allergic skin reactions.
• You have skin dryness, irritation and peeling after using clindamycin+nicotinamide.

How Does It Work?

• Clindamycin works by inhibiting the growth and multiplication of acne-causing bacteria.
• Nicotinamide is an anti-inflammatory agent and works by reducing the swelling and redness associated with acne. It also regulates the amount of acne-causing oil being produced by the oil glands in your skin and helps in lightening the marks due to pimples, acne and other skin problems.

Interactions with other medicines

• Some medicines can affect the way clindamycin+nicotinamide works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time. Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, herbals you are currently taking or might take or if you are using other topically applied creams, lotion and gel to avoid any possible interaction.
