Escitalopram belongs to the antidepressant class of medications that increase serotonin, a neurotransmitter or brain chemical. Clonazepam, being an anxiolytic, acts by enhancing the inhibitory effect caused by GABA or gamma-aminobutyric acid (brain chemical or neurotransmitter), causing sedation, anxiolysis, and muscle relaxation. It takes 4-6 weeks for Clonazepam+Escitalopram Oxalate to show complete clinical effectiveness.
