Uses
- Unicarbazan Forte tablet is used to treat different parasitic infections.
- It is also used to relieve allergic reactions like redness, itching, watering of eyes, swelling of lips, and face associated with the disease.
Contraindications
- If you have a history of allergy to diethylcarbamazine, chlorpheniramine, or any of the ingredients of Unicarbazan Forte tablet.
- If you have bleeding problems.
- If you have any kind of eye infection.
- If you have recently taken any medicines to treat brain-related disorders, in the last two weeks.
- If you are taking other medicines containing other antihistamines, for the relief of colds and coughs.

How Does It Work?
- Unicarbazan Forte tablet contains a combination of diethylcarbamazine and chlorpheniramine as active substances.
- Diethylcarbamazine alters the metabolic process in the cells of the parasite, which makes them more prone to killing by the human defense system. Thus it helps in killing the parasite causing the infection.
- The killing of the parasite releases a chemical called histamine which produces allergic symptoms like skin redness, itching, swelling, and watering of the eyes. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine medicine, which blocks the effect of histamine and relieves the allergic symptoms associated with it.
