• Common cold symptom relief: A cold may cause several uncomfortable symptoms together; this syrup helps ease them so the person can rest and breathe more comfortably.
• Nasal congestion: Swelling inside the nose can restrict airflow; phenylephrine narrows swollen blood vessels and helps ease stuffiness.
• Cough and throat discomfort: Relief of cold symptoms may make thick mucus easier to clear and reduce soreness while the illness settles.

• Sleepiness and dizziness: Chlorpheniramine can make a child less alert, while dizziness may affect balance. Supervise activities and seek help if the child is difficult to wake.
• Nausea or diarrhoea: The combination may upset the stomach or loosen stools. Offer suitable fluids and contact the child's doctor if vomiting or diarrhoea continues.
• Headache, weakness or restlessness: These symptoms, along with fear or anxiety, may occur while the medicine is active. Tell the doctor if they disturb the child's sleep or behaviour.
• Fast heartbeat or tremor: Phenylephrine may cause palpitations, a faster heartbeat, shaking or difficulty sleeping. Seek urgent care for chest pain, fainting or a very rapid heartbeat.
• Rash or unusual symptoms: Rash, urinary discomfort, hallucinations or convulsions need prompt medical assessment. Get emergency medical help for breathing difficulty or swelling of the face, lips or throat.

• Shake the bottle before each use.
• Use only the measuring device supplied with the pack.
• Check all cold, flu, pain and fever products for paracetamol, antihistamines or decongestants before combining them.
• Give suitable fluids unless the doctor has restricted them.
• Keep the child supervised if sleepiness, dizziness, restlessness or tremor occurs.
