Teram P tablet is an analgesic (painkiller), recommended for the management of short-term moderate to severe pain. The active ingredients in Teram P tablets are Tramadol (37.5 mg) and Paracetamol (32
5 mg). Tramadol is an opioid medication. Paracetamol is a non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic (fever reducer). This combination is used to treat moderate to severe acute pain. Directions for use of Teram P tablets should be strictly followed. It is a strong painkiller and should only be taken in the dose and duration advised by a medical professional. Teram P tablets have addictive potential and can be misused/abused. Careful monitoring while on Teram P tablets is required. Teram P tablets are contraindicated in children and pregnant women. Side effects of Teram P tablets include constipation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, indigestion, somnolence (sleepiness), headache, confusion, anorexia, dizziness, increased sweating, rashes, and itching.

- As per CDSCO, Teram P tablets are used for the short-term management of acute pain (moderate to severe pain).
Contraindications of Teram P Strip Of 10 Tablets
- Do not take Teram P tablets, or use caution:
- If you have hypersensitivity to tramadol, paracetamol, other opioids, or any other components in this tablet. This medicine is contraindicated.
- If you have acute or severe bronchial asthma.
- If you have significant respiratory depression (decreased breathing capacity).
- If you have established liver disease. Teram P tablets are contraindicated.
- If you have a known or suspected gastrointestinal obstruction (a condition causing a blockage in the intestines), including paralytic ileus (a condition that affects the contraction of gut muscles).
- If you suffer from uncontrolled seizures and are not on treatment for the same.
- If you have an alcohol/drug dependence disorder.
- If you have increased intracranial pressure (increased pressure in the fluid in the spine and brain), brain tumours, head injury, impaired consciousness, or are in a coma.
- If you are in circulatory shock; it can cause a severe decrease in blood pressure (severe hypotension).
- If you have a history of suicidal ideation.
- If you are under 12. It should not be used to manage postoperative pain in children under 18 following tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.

- Take Teram P tablets precisely as advised by the doctor.
- Do not take an extra dose even if you cannot notice the effects of this medicine.
- Swallow Teram P tablets as a whole with a glass of water.
- Do not break or chew this tablet.
- Take this medicine with or without food.
- Do not self-medicate with Teram P tablets, as they can cause serious side effects if not used properly.
- Teram P tablets should not be mixed with alcohol as they can cause life-threatening effects.
- Do not use Teram P tablets for long-term pain management, as you can develop a dependence on Tramadol.
Interactions of Teram P Strip Of 10 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Inform your doctor about any medications you may take while using Teram P tablets. The following medicines interact with Teram P tablets and cause adverse effects.
- Concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or use within 14 days of using these medicines is contraindicated. This combination can lead to a potentially fatal side effect called serotonin syndrome. Examples of MAOIs include selegiline, rasagiline, etc., which are all used to treat Parkinson’s disease....
- Teram P tablets should not be used with other medicines that increase serotonin levels in the brain (serotonergic drugs). Examples include antidepressants, certain antibiotics and antifungals, calcium channel blockers, linezolid etc....
- Teram P tablets should not be used concomitantly with any central nervous system (CNS) depressant. This includes alcohol, benzodiazepines (clonazepam and alprazolam), and other opioids (morphine and fentanyl). It can cause profound sedation, respiratory depression, coma, and even death....
- Certain enzyme systems metabolise Teram P tablets. Medicines that affect these enzymes are contraindicated, as they can either cause an increase or decrease in tramadol concentrations, resulting in increased side effects or inactivation, respectively....
- Do not use Teram P tablets with other opioid agonists or antagonists, as they can precipitate withdrawal symptoms.
- Teram P tablets can induce seizures. Do not use other medicines known to decrease the seizure threshold.
