Safexim Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It helps with infections in the respiratory tract, urinary tract, ears, sinuses, throat, and some sexually transmitted dise
ases. You should take this medication only with the guidance of a healthcare professional. Take Safexim Tablet regularly at the same times each day as your doctor directs. It’s important to finish the entire course of antibiotics, even if you start to feel better. Stopping early can lead to infections coming back or getting worse. Safexim Tablet works for bacterial infections but not viral infections like the flu or the common cold. Using antibiotics when you don’t need them can make them less effective for future infections. Uses of Safexim 100 MG
- Safexim Tablet is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the ear, nose or sinuses (such as sinusitis), urinary system (such as bladder and kidney infections), throat infections (such as tonsillitis, pharyngitis) and lungs (such as bronchitis, pneumonia)....
- It is also effective for typhoid (enteric) fever and gonorrhoea.
Contraindications of Safexim 100 MG
- If you are allergic to cefixime or any other ingredients of Safexim Tablet.
- If you are allergic to any similar antibiotics, including Penicillin.

Talk to your doctor if
- You have problems with your liver or kidneys.
- You experience skin reactions after taking Safexim Tablet.

- You are suffering from a condition called haemolytic anaemia (a condition where red blood cells get broken down faster than they are formed).
- You experience watery diarrhoea, stomach pain and fever.
- You develop any allergic reaction after using Safexim Tablet.
Mode of Action of Safexim 100 MG
How Does It Work?
Safexim Tablet works by inhibiting the growth of the cell wall of bacteria, which eventually leads to the death of the bacteria.
Directions for Use of Safexim 100 MG
- Take Safexim Tablet as directed by your doctor.
- Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
- It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results and should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.
- Always complete the course of antibiotic medicine and do not discontinue on your own.
Interactions of Safexim 100 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Safexim Tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interactions.
- Especially, if you are taking Carbamazepine (a medicine used to treat seizures) and blood thinners such as Warfarin.
- Safexim Tablet may alter the clotting parameters and there is a risk of unusual bleeding.
Storage and disposal of Safexim 100 MG
- Store Safexim Tablet below 25°C, protected from direct sunlight, heat and moisture.
- Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Dosage of Safexim 100 MG
Overdose
Seek medical care immediately in case you happen to take too much of Safexim Tablet. This medicine may cause a risk of encephalopathy (damage to your brain) if taken in large quantities.
Missed a Dose
It is advisable to complete the course of antibiotics. Do not miss any dose. If you have missed taking any dose of Safexim Tablet, then take it as early as you remember. If it is the time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosage schedule....
