Propanz D Tablet 10
Propanz D Tablet 10 Description
Propanz D Tablet is a combination of domperidone and rabeprazole. Domperidone is a dopamine antagonist, and rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. Propanz D Tablet is used to treat gastroesophageal
reflux disease (GERD) in people who have not responded well to rabeprazole alone. GERD is a chronic digestive disease where stomach acid frequently flows back into the esophagus, causing irritation. Symptoms of GERD include heartburn, chest pain, nausea, feeling like there is a lump in the throat, and stomach discomfort. Propanz D Tablet can also be used to treat peptic ulcers caused by H. pylori infection or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Peptic ulcers are painful sores that develop in the lining of the stomach, esophagus, or intestines. Symptoms of peptic ulcers include stomach pain, gas, indigestion, vomiting, and fatigue. When taking Propanz D Tablet, try to eat less spicy food and drink plenty of fluids. Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol, as these can make your condition worse. People taking Propanz D Tablet for a long time should be monitored regularly for hypomagnesemia (low magnesium levels in the blood) and bone fractures. This is especially important for older people and people with other risk factors. Tell your doctor before taking Propanz D Tablet if you have any liver, kidney, or heart problems. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose or give you a different medicine. Propanz D Tablet is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women or children under 18 years of age. It should be used with caution in older people (over 65 years of age).

How Does It Work?
- Pantoprazole works by inhibiting a pump called the proton pump in the stomach wall, responsible for the secretion of stomach acids for digestion and hence leads to reduced acid production.
- Domperidone is an antiemetic medicine. It works by increasing the motility of the stomach and bowel, thus prevents the backflow of the food and stomach acids towards the food pipe.
