Olet Plus Tablet treats resistant depression and depressive episodes associated with bipolar disorder. Depression is a mood disorder characterised by episodes of sadness, mood swings and feelings of
hopelessness. Olet Plus Tablet is a combination medicine that contains fluoxetine and olanzapine as the active ingredient. It is an antidepressant medication. This combination of medicine works by balancing certain chemical substances in the brain, stabilising mood and improving behaviour. Olet Plus Tablet should be taken in dosage and duration as advised by your doctor. This medicine should not be taken without consulting a doctor as there are many side effects associated with this medicine. Don’t stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it can cause clinical worsening of your condition or may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

- As per CDSCO and USFDA, Olet Plus Tablet is used for:
- Resistant depression
- Depressive episode associated with Bipolar disorder
Contraindications
- If you’re allergic to any ingredient of Olet Plus Tablet.
- If you are taking other antidepressants like Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI).
- If you have a history of sudden mood changes or suicidal thoughts.
- If you have conditions that cause hyperprolactinemia (high prolactin levels).
- If you have severe stomach or intestinal blockage due to paralytic ileus.
- If you have glaucoma (increase the pressure in the eye)
- If you’ve a history of seizures or fits.
- If you have any history of alcohol or substance addiction.

Directions for Use
- Take the Olet Plus Tablet as prescribed by the doctor.
- You can take Olet medicine with or without food or as prescribed.
- Take this medicine on a regular schedule, preferably at the same time every day.
- Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water. Do not break/crush the tablet or chew this medicine.
- Do not take this tablet with other medications without consulting your doctor.
- Don’t stop taking this medication suddenly, as it may lead to withdrawal side effects.
- Do not consume if the package has been opened.
- Don’t exceed the dosage, even if you cannot feel its effects.

- MAOI (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) like isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue, Selegiline, Rasagiline, and other antidepressants, SSRI, lithium, triptans, buspirone, amphetamines, tramadol, tryptophan, is strictly contraindicated as it may cause serotonin syndrome....
- Interaction with metoprolol can lead to excessive bradycardia (slow heart rate).
- Interaction with tricyclic antidepressants, antipsychotics (pimozide, haloperidol), and antihistamines can prolong QT interval.
- Interaction with antiepileptics (seizure medicines), antipsychotics, antiarrhythmics (heart medicine), Olet Plus Tablet can slow down the removal of these medicines.
- NSAIDs, Aspirin, and other medications which affect coagulation may interact and can increase the risk of bleeding.
- Interaction with Herbal products like St john’s wort can lead to life-threatening side effects.
