Niclin Gel is a dermatological medication. The main use of Niclin Gel is to lower the symptoms of moderate to severe acne and reduce the infection that causes acne. This medication lowers the severit
y of the blocked pores and the infection, leading to skin conditions like comedones, postulates, and pustules. This gel consists of Clindamycin and Niacin as its main ingredients. The mode of action of Niclin Gel is to slowly stop the growth and kill the bacteria that cause acne. It reduces the inflammation and swelling caused due to acne. It also reduces excessive oil production and clears the pores that are blocked. This gel is for external use only. The complete course of this medicine should be completed to ensure its effectiveness. Follow the doctor’s directions for using the Niclin Gel. The doctor will advise the dosage and duration of this gel. Try to avoid direct contact with this gel to the eye, nose, ears, and mouth. In the beginning, the patient may experience some side effects of Niclin Gel. They will subside once you get used to the medicine in a few weeks. If not, inform your doctor so the dose of this gel will be changed or a different medication will be given.

Uses
- As per CDSCO, the Niclin Gel is used on the skin to treat the symptoms and infection caused due to acne Vulgaris.
Contraindications
- If you have a known hypersensitive reaction to Clindamycin, Niacin, or any other gel components.
- If you are currently pregnant or planning for a pregnancy, please inform your doctor before using Niclin Gel.
- If you are breastfeeding while using this gel on the breast area.
- If you are using different antibiotics on the same area as Niclin Gel.
- If you are using Niclin Gel on a child without asking your doctor.
- If you have broken skin or any open wound on the application site.
- If you are using any astringents or low pH (acidic) products on the skin, especially at the beginning of the usage.

Other General Warnings
- You have applied Niclin Gel directly in the eye. Repeated direct exposure to excess amounts of this medicine in the eyes is not safe.
- You experience blurred vision or other vision disturbances.
- You experience any redness, swelling, flaking, peeling, or burning sensation on the face after applying the Niclin Gel for more than two weeks.
- You are using other oral or topical antibiotics for acne or any other condition.
- You have milder types of acne with any pustules or papules. This medicine may not be needed in such cases.
- You are using any dye or bleaching products on the skin or hair

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use
- Apply the Niclin Gel exactly in recommended dose and duration.
- You can use Niclin Gel once or twice a day, depending on the severity of the acne or advised by your doctor.
- Do not use more than the recommended amount of this gel at one time without informing the doctor, as this can lead to some side effects.
- Apply this gel on clean and dry skin after washing your hands.
- Check the expiration date before using Niclin Gel.
- Do not use Niclin Gel with other topical products without informing your doctor.
- Inform your doctor if you have excessive side effects.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- If you are using other similar antibiotic products along with Niclin Gel, inform your doctor. It is not recommended as combinations of these medicines can increase the severity of the side effects such as peeling, redness, burning, tightness or dryness of the skin....
- Avoid using topical products that can sensitise the skin and cause excess irritation, such as harsh soaps, hair removers or waxes, products with acids, etc., while using Niclin Gel. They can cause burning sensation, redness, swelling, itching, flaking, etc....
- While using Niclin Gel, do not use skin products containing alcohol, spices, astringents, or lime.
- Avoid using other topical medications on the same areas you treat with Niclin Gel topical unless the doctor tells you to.
- If you are using some ayurvedic or herbal products to treat skin infections or acne, inform the doctor as they may interfere with the functioning of Niclin Gel.
