Inspiral is a prescription medication. It is used to manage Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The active component of Inspiral is Methylphenidate. ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactiv
ity Disorder) is a common, long-term behavioural and developmental disorder commonly diagnosed in children and adolescents, lasting into adulthood. ADHD manifests as having trouble paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviour, or over-active. The treatment of ADHD is multifactorial. It should include a combination of counselling, lifestyle and environmental modifications, and medical therapy. The management of ADHD is often long-term. Inspiral should be taken as recommended by the doctor. It should not be abruptly started or stopped, as it may cause a recurrence of symptoms. Taking the tablet at the same time every day is advisable for maximum efficacy.

Contraindications of Inspiral 10 MG
- If you are hypersensitive or have allergies to this medication's components.
- If you have heart disease.
- TIf you have cerebrovascular disorders or underlying risk factors.
- If you have motor tics (unwanted, repetitive movements).
- If you or a family member has a history of Tourette’s syndrome.
- If you have glaucoma.
- If you have a history of mental illness like depression, suicidal ideation, mania, bipolar disease, psychosis, or eating disorders.
- If you have hyperthyroidism/ thyrotoxicosis (elevated thyroid levels).
- If you have children <6 years of age.
- If you have a known seizure disorder.
- If you have a history of substance abuse/ addictions.

Interactions of Inspiral 10 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- This medicine should not be used concomitantly or within 2 weeks of using Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) like Selegiline, Rasagiline, etc. It may cause a potentially fatal condition called Serotonin Syndrome....
- Methylphenidate can block the metabolism of certain medications, like anti-depressants, anti-convulsants, and coumarin anticoagulants (blood thinners).
- Methylphenidate decreases the effectiveness of medications used to decrease blood pressure.
- This medication should be stopped prior to elective surgery or dental procedures, as it can interact with anaesthetic agents and cause adverse effects.
- This medicine should not be used with other medications that affect dopamine, as it can cause increased dopamine-related side effects.
- Methylphenidate should not be used with medicines that increase blood pressure as it can result in hypertensive crises.
- Inform your doctor regarding your current medications at the time of prescription of Inspiral.
