HG Fer Suspension is an oral medicine used to loosen thick mucus during a chesty cough and to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, a runny nose and watery eyes. It contains a combination of ammonium chloride and sodium citrate, which help make phlegm thinner and easier to clear, diphenhydramine, which eases allergy symptoms, and menthol, which gives a cooling sensation that can soothe minor throat irritation. The suspension is taken by mouth and may be used with or without food as advised.
