• You have any kind of pre-existing health condition such as thyroid problems, fits/seizures, diabetes, liver problems, weak bones, high blood pressure, heart-related disorder etc.
• Your asthma condition is suddenly worsening.
• You feel that the treatment is ineffective.
• You are on any medicines that suppress immunity.

• Use Foracort Inhaler 400 exactly as recommended by your doctor.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Read the instructions on the label or leaflet before use.
• Rinse your mouth with water after inhaling and spit it out.

• Store Foracort Inhaler 400 below 30°C. Do not freeze.
• Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

• Foracort 400 Inhaler is used to manage asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Follow your doctor's instructions carefully for proper usage.
• Shake the inhaler well before each use to ensure an even distribution of the medication.
• Before inhaling, exhale fully to empty your lungs, then place the mouthpiece between your lips and take a slow, deep breath while pressing the canister to release the medicine.
• Hold your breath for about 10 seconds after inhaling to allow the medication to reach deep into your lungs.
• Rinse your mouth with water after each use to minimize the risk of oral thrush (fungal infection in the mouth).
• Keep track of the number of doses used to know when the inhaler is running out. Replace it as per the prescribed schedule.

Overdose

• Symptoms of overdose of Foracort Inhaler 400 are headache, nausea, vomiting, palpitations, increased blood glucose, and low potassium levels.
• If you have used too much of Foracort Inhaler 400, then contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.

Missed a Dose

• If you have missed taking any dose of Foracort Inhaler 400, then take it as soon as you remember.
• If it's already time for the next dose then skip the missed dose and follow your regular dosing schedule.
• Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

How Does It Work?

• Foracort Inhaler 400 works by the combined action of formoterol and budesonide.
• Budesonide is a corticosteroid medicine, which on inhalation reduces inflammation in the airways, thus reducing the chances of worsening asthma.
• Formoterol widens the air passage in the lungs and provides relief from the symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Interactions with other medicines

• Some medicines can affect the way Foracort Inhaler 400 works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.

• Other medicines that should be used with caution are blood pressure-lowering medicines and medicines for certain eye conditions.
