Epineuron Tablet
Description
Epineuron tablet is a combination medication containing epalrestat and methylcobalamin used to manage nerve-related discomfort associated with diabetes, also known as diabetic neuropathy. Long-term high blood sugar can damage nerves, leading to symptoms such as pain, burning, tingling, or numbness, especially in your feet and hands. By supporting nerve health and function, this medicine helps you move more comfortably and carry out daily activities with less discomfort when used regularly as part of your diabetes care plan.
Epineuron tablet works in two ways. Epalrestat helps reduce the harmful effects of high sugar levels on nerves by blocking the pathway that leads to nerve damage, while Vitamin B12 (in forms such as mecobalamin, cyanocobalamin, or methylcobalamin) supports nerve repair and regeneration. Together, they help protect existing nerves and promote healing, which can gradually improve nerve function and reduce symptoms over time.
Take Epineuron tablet as prescribed by your doctor, often after meals, to reduce stomach upset. It is important to take it regularly and at the same time each day for the best results. This medicine does not provide instant relief, so continue using it even if you do not feel immediate improvement. Do not change the dose or stop the medicine without consulting your doctor.
Some people may experience mild side effects such as nausea, stomach discomfort, headache, dizziness, or a feeling of fullness. These are usually transient and resolve as your body adjusts to the medication. If you notice persistent side effects, allergic reactions, or worsening of symptoms, you should contact your doctor promptly. Regular follow-up and good blood sugar control will help you get the maximum benefit from this treatment.
