Epilan-P Tablet

• For the treatment of epilepsy (abnormal brain activity causing seizures).
• To control and prevent seizures during and after brain surgery.

• If you are allergic to phenytoin or any of the other ingredients of Epilan P Tablet.
• If you are allergic to medicines similar to phenytoin (e.g. hydantoins), if you are not sure which are these medicines ask your doctor.

• Allergy
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Vertigo
• Dizziness
• Headache
• Skin rashes
• Fatigue
• Shortness of breath

Other General Warnings

• You have liver, kidney or blood-related disorders.
• You develop reddish target-like spots or circular patches after taking this medicine.
• You develop ulcers in the mouth, throat, nose, genitals and conjunctivitis (red and swollen eyes).
• You are getting suicidal thoughts of harming or killing yourself.
• You are diabetic or have any heart-related conditions.

• Take Epilan P Tablet as prescribed by your doctor.
• It is best to take Epilan P Tablet at the same time every day.
• Swallow this Tablet as a whole with plenty of water.

• Keep Epilan P Tablet out of the sight and reach of children and pets.
• Store in the original packaging in order to protect it from moisture and light.

Interactions with other medicines

• Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take.
• Some medicines can affect the way Epilan P Tablet works or Epilan P Tablet itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
• Especially, if you are taking medicines to treat blood pressure, heart failure, high cholesterol, blood-thinners, anti-infectives, anti-diabetics, anti-asthmatics, pain killers, immunomodulatory medicines, contraceptives or medicines for brain-related disorders.
