Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Dependal M Tablet?

Consuming alcohol with Dependal M Tablet can cause skin redness, stomach cramps, vomiting, increase in heartbeat, difficult breathing, fainting and a feeling of tightness in the chest, etc. Avoid alcohol consumption while on this medicine and for 2 to 4 days after stopping this medicine.

Dependal M Tablet works by killing bacteria responsible for infection by damaging its genetic structure and making changes in its genetic structure.

Interactions of Dependal M Strip Of 10 Tablets

Interactions with other medicines

  • As Dependal M Tablet contains Furazolidone and Metronidazole, any interaction seen with then when taken alone may happen with this combination.
  • Concomitant use of Dependal M Tablet with warfarin (blood thinner) can cause increased action of warfarin.
  • Medicines such as lithium, phenobarbital, phenytoin should be used cautiously.
  • Taking Dependal M Tablet with other medicines such as 5 fluorouracil, ciclosporin, busulfan may affect the activity of Dependal M Tablet.
  • Inform your doctor about all other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking before starting with Dependal M Tablet.
