Uses
- In the treatment of filariasis (Elephantiasis)
- Lymphatic filariasis caused by Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi, and Brugia timori can be prevented and treated with this medicine.
- In treating symptoms of worm infestations
- This medicine is used to prevent and treat Loiasis, an eye worm illness caused by the Loa loa parasite, which spreads via the bite of a deer fly or a mango fly.
- Used in the treatment of toxocariasis
- This medication is used to prevent and treat toxocariasis, a worm infection that can cause rheumatic, neurologic, and asthmatic symptoms.
- This medication is used to treat pulmonary eosinophilia and manage allergic reactions.
