Medical Description

DC Forte 150/2.5 mg Tablet is used to treat or prevent worm infestations. Worm infections that cause breathing problems, joint discomfort, and nervous system problems are treated with this medication. Treatment of elephantiasis, parasitic worm infection, Bancroft's filariasis, eosinophilic lung, and river blindness are other uses of DC Forte 150 Mg/2.5 Mg. Diethylcarbamazine and chlorpheniramine are the active ingredients in DC Forte 150/2.5 mg Tablets. Diethylcarbamazine citrate in Dc Forte 150 Mg/2.5 Mg helps treat worm infestations by killing worms. Chlorpheniramine is used to treat allergies, common cold, flu, runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes. It aids in the treatment of infection by preventing parasite growth. To ensure efficacy, take it with food at a specified time. Common side effects of DC Forte 150 mg/2.5 mg tablets are nausea, loss of appetite, excess sleep, fever and allergic reactions. The salt used in medicine can be reactive, so inform your doctor about any allergies you may have. Uses

  • In the treatment of filariasis (Elephantiasis)
  • Lymphatic filariasis caused by Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi, and Brugia timori can be prevented and treated with this medicine.
  • In treating symptoms of worm infestations
  • This medicine is used to prevent and treat Loiasis, an eye worm illness caused by the Loa loa parasite, which spreads via the bite of a deer fly or a mango fly.
  • Used in the treatment of toxocariasis
  • This medication is used to prevent and treat toxocariasis, a worm infection that can cause rheumatic, neurologic, and asthmatic symptoms.
  • This medication is used to treat pulmonary eosinophilia and manage allergic reactions.

Contraindications

Allergy Patients with a known allergy to diethylcarbamazine, chlorpheniramine, or any other inactive chemicals in the formulation should not take this medication. Onchocerciasis is a parasitic infection (also known as river blindness) Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) Because it may cause increased difficulties in passing urine, this medicine is not suggested for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (enlarged prostate). Inhibitors of monoamine oxidase (MAOI) Because of the increased risk of severe and life-threatening adverse effects, this medicine is unsafe for patients using monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI).
