Daplo 10 Tablet contains Dapagliflozin an antidiabetic medicine used in type 2 diabetes mellitus along with diet and exercise. It is to be taken orally with a glass of water as prescribed by your doc

Do not use Daplo 10 Tablet if you are allergic to Dapagliflozin or you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Uses of Daplo 10 MG
Daplo 10 Tablet is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, where the body does not produce enough insulin or is unable to use it properly.
Contraindications of Daplo 10 MG
If you are allergic to Dapagliflozin or any of the other ingredients of Daplo Tablet.
Side effects of Daplo 10 MG
- Genital infections (thrush) of penis or vagina (irritation, itching, unusual discharge or odour)
- Increase in frequency of urination
- Urinary tract infections that can cause painful urination, fever with chills
- Back pain
- Dizziness
- Rash over body
Precautions and Warnings of Daplo 10 MG
Pregnancy
Q:
Can I take Daplo 10 Tablet during pregnancy?
A:
Limited information is available on the use of this medicine during pregnancy. Use in pregnancy is not recommended. If you become pregnant while on the treatment with this medicine, stop the medicine and immediately inform your doctor.
Breast Feeding

Can I take Daplo 10 Tablets while breastfeeding?

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Daplo 10 Tablet?

This medicine has no or negligible effect on driving. However, if you are also taking insulin or other diabetes medicines, there can drop in blood sugar levels. This can cause shaking, sweating and change in vision and may affect your ability to drive and use machines. If you feel dizziness after taking this medicine, avoid driving.
Alcohol
Q:
Can I consume alcohol with Daplo 10 Tablet?
A:
Drinking alcohol can lower your blood sugar level. Therefore, drinking alcohol should be avoided while taking this medicine.
Other General Warnings
Talk to your doctor if
- You have pain, tenderness, redness or swelling of the genitals or the area between the genitals and the anus. Immediately inform your doctor and seek medical help.
- You have a liver or kidney disease.
- You have type 1 diabetes.
- You have fever, nausea or vomiting. Your doctor may decrease the dose until you recover from these.
- You experience frequent infections of the urinary tract.
- You are taking medicines for high blood pressure and have a history of low blood pressure.
- Your blood sugar levels are high.
- You have stomach pain, excessive thirst, fast and deep breathing, confusion, unusual sleepiness or tiredness, a sweet smell to breathe, a sweet or metallic taste in the mouth or different odour urine or sweat or rapid weight loss. If you find these symptoms, then immediately inform your doctor....
- Avoid fasting, excess alcohol or dehydration.
Mode of Action of Daplo 10 MG
How Does It Work?
Daplo 10 Tablet works by lowering excess blood sugar level by removing it through urine. It inhibits the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys.
Directions for Use of Daplo 10 MG
Daplo 10 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor with a glass of water with or without food. Take it at the same time each day.
Interactions of Daplo 10 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Medicines used to remove water from the body (diuretic) should be used cautiously along with this medicine. Concurrent use can cause excessive water loss.
- Inform your doctor if you are on other medicines for diabetes like insulin or a sulfonylurea. Your doctor shall adjust their dose when prescribing Daplo.
- Discuss with your doctor about all other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are consuming before starting with Daplo Tablet.
Storage and disposal of Daplo 10 MG
- Store Daplo 10 Tablet in a cool and dry place, protected from direct sunlight and moisture.
- This medicine should be kept out of the sight and reach of children and pets.
Dosage of Daplo 10 MG
Overdose
If you think you have taken too much of Daplo 10 Tablet, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
If you have missed taking any dose of Daplo tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one....
