Clonazepam is a type of medicine that falls under the wider category of Benzodiazepines. Clonax works to produce a calming effect. How Does It Work?
Clonax has Clonazepam as an active ingredient. Clonazepam acts by raising the level of a chemical messenger known as gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA). An increase in the neurotransmitter GABA induces a calming and relaxing effect and thus helps the person with anxiety. It also aids in maintaining the electrical balance in the brain, which further prevents seizures....
Directions for Use of Clonax 0.25 MG
- Clonax should be taken according to the doctor’s recommendation only.
- It is usually prescribed as a long term medication and could be prescribed 2-3 times a day.
- Take the dosage at the same time every day.
- Clonax Tablets can be taken with or without the food, but it is better to consume the tablet with food to avoid any stomach problems.
- The tablet has to be taken orally with a glass of water. The tablet should not be distorted by chewing or crushing.
Interactions of Clonax 0.25 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Acetaminophen (pain killer) increases the metabolism of Clonax.
- Aceclofenac (pain killer) and cimetidine (medicine for the treatment of heartburn) can delay the excretion of Clonax.
- Hydrocodone, Codeine (pain killer) and Cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxant) can increase the depression of the nervous system.
- Alprazolam (anti-anxiety medicine) can increase the severity of side effects.
- Clarithromycin (antibiotic), Ketoconazole (an antifungal medicine), and Diltiazem (medicine for high blood pressure) can decrease the metabolism of Clonax.

- Clonax is not known to interact with any particular food item.
Storage and disposal of Clonax 0.25 MG
Store Clonax at room temperature and should be placed away from any source of direct heat or light. Avoid keeping Clonax tablets in direct sunlight. They do not need to be refrigerated. Keep it away from the reach of children and pets around....
Dosage of Clonax 0.25 MG
Overdose
Do not take Clonax more than the advised dosage. Overdose can exhibit severe side effects like extreme drowsiness, fainting, loss of consciousness, difficulty in breathing and delayed reflexes.
Seek immediate help in case of overdose. Do not give Clonax tablet to someone you feel has the same symptoms; it can lead to overdose....
Missed a Dose
In case of a missed dose, take the tablet as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time of the next one, please do not double dose the dose and continue with the previous schedule. Consider setting the alarm if you keep forgetting to take the Clonax often....
