Brivgard Bottle Of 100ml Oral Solution
Description
Brivgard is an anti-epileptic oral solution that contains the active ingredient brivaracetam. It is used to help control seizures in adults, adolescents, and children above 2 years of age. It is usually given along with other anti-epileptic medicines to improve seizure control.
Brivgard oral solution is used to treat partial-onset seizures, which are fits that start in one area of the brain. Sometimes, these seizures can spread to both sides of the brain (called secondary generalisation). This oral solution helps reduce how often these seizures occur.
Brivaracetam works by calming abnormal electrical activity in the brain. In epilepsy, nerve cells send sudden, uncontrolled signals that lead to seizures. Brivgard oral solution helps stabilise these signals and reduces the chance of fits.
You should take Brivgard oral solution exactly as advised by your doctor, usually in two divided doses daily. It can be taken with or without food and may be swallowed directly or mixed with water or juice. Common side effects may include sleepiness, dizziness, tiredness, nausea, or irritability. If any side effects worry you, consult your doctor.
