Brilinta 90 MG Description
Brilinta 90 tablet contains ticagrelor as its active medicine. It belongs to the medicines of the group known as antiplatelet medicines. It is used to prevent heart attack, stroke or any heart or blo
od vessels related problems. Do not take this medicine if you are having an allergy, any active bleeding (haemorrhage) or any liver problems. Do not take it with other medicines like ketoconazole, Clarithromycin, Nefazodone, Ritonavir or Atazanavir. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before using it. Do not use this medicine in children and adolescents below 18 years of age.

Contraindications of Brilinta 90 MG
- If you are allergic to ticagrelor or any other ingredients of the Brilinta 90 mg tablet.
- If you have any active bleeding.
- If you have experienced stroke due to bleeding (haemorrhage) in the brain.
- If you have any liver problems.
- If you are taking medicines like ketoconazole, Clarithromycin, Nefazodone, Ritonavir or Atazanavir.

- You have had a recent serious injury.
- You had recent surgery (like dental treatment).
- Any condition which affects blood clotting.
- You have been diagnosed with bleeding from the stomach or intestine due to ulcer or polyps.
- You are planning to have any surgery including dental work.
- You have an abnormally low heart rate, history of a pacemaker in the heart.
- You have asthma, lung problems or any other condition which produces breathing difficulties.
- You have a history or recent liver problem.
- You have a high level of uric acid in the blood.
- Taking Heparin along with this medicine (as Heparin sometimes produces a rare disorder that adversely affects platelet and clotting).
- Brilinta 90 mg tablet is not recommended in children and adolescents below 18 years of age.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Brilinta Tablet works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.

- Especially, if you are taking medicines for high cholesterol, heart diseases, blood-thinning medicines like warfarin, painkillers, anti-HIV medicines and medicines used in some brain-related diseases.

- Do not use this medicine after its expiry date.
